Position Type

  • Basic HVAC training and/or background with minimum 1-2 years’ experience.

  • Must be comfortable with tight, enclosed areas, and have good, steady balance.

  • Attention to detail and a mindset for doing a great job is a must.

  • Basic knowledge of the construction of residential dwellings and housing types preferred.

  • Punctual, reliable, trustworthy, and able to manage time effectively.

Position Qualifications

  • Perform furnace tune-ups, AC tune-ups, and CAZ testing in multi-family buildings and apartments.

  • Install HVAC weatherization measures, such as:

  • Furnace filter replacements

  • Exhaust fans

  • Simple repairs as needed

  • Programmable Thermostats

  • HVAC Unit Replacements

  • Water Heater Replacements

  • Conduct work in compliance with OSHA and Anura Energy safety procedures.

  • Use hand tools or power tools in a safe manner when installing materials and repairing structures.

  • Use natural problem-solving skills and collaborate as a team to make proper decisions in the field.

  • Work independently on assigned tasks and represent the company in a professional manner.

  • Follow company protocols, record project data, and report issues as they arise.

Position Responsibilities

The Weatherization Technician works as a part of the weatherization team to install measures designed to improve the energy efficiency of buildings. This individual performs direct service installs to reduce the air infiltration of a building including the installation of home weatherization materials, minor building repairs as well as associated record keeping. Anura Energy welcomes new graduates with degrees in Building Science, Environmental Sustainability or other related fields to apply.
