How to Adjust Your Mask at Home

Need to adjust your mask for a better fit? No problem!

  • The nose wire can be molded to fit your nose and upper cheeks to stay secure.

  • If the elastic bands are too large, you can create a fold to shorten them.

    • While wearing the mask, pinch the band below the ear, tightening to the desired fit.

    • Fold the pinched band toward the center of the mask.

    • Place a small piece of tape to temporarily secure.

    • Take the mask and secure the fold. There are several quick and easy ways:

      • Hand stitch with thread and needle

      • Use a small safety pin

      • Stitch with a sewing machine

      • If the extra amount is significant, tie a small knot

  • If you are experiencing gaps at the bottom or on the sides, you can tack a small fold.

    • While wearing the mask, pinch the gap, and fold up.

    • Flatten to the mask and place a small piece of tape to temporarily secure.

    • Take off the mask and secure the fold. There are several quick and easy ways:

      • Hand stitch with thread and needle

      • Use a small safety pin

      • Use fabric glue

      • Stitch with a sewing machine

  • Elastic bands too small? Unfortunately, we don't have any easy suggestions. They will stretch out with regular use over time. If it's too uncomfortable, please give the mask to someone who needs one!
